GOT QUESTIONS? WE HAVE ANSWERS
What is included in the Home Kit?
The Home Kit includes:
- ChokeFree device
- Adult mask
- Pediatric mask
- Practice mask
- Instructions for use
- Choking prevention and safety tips
What should I do with the practice mask?
The practice mask is designed to help you get comfortable using ChokeFree—just insert it into the device and practice on a flat surface like a table. If you are able to achieve suction, you have succeed. After practicing, we recommend storing it back in its pink packaging, separate from the other masks, as it’s a helpful tool to keep for occasional refreshers or to show others how to use the device.
How is the Home Kit different from the Travel Kit?
While every ChokeFree kit includes the device, an adult mask, and a pediatric mask, each one offers additional unique features:
- Home Kit—Includes an additional mask, intended for practice, to help individuals familiarize themselves with how to use the life-saving device.
- Travel Kit—Designed for those who already have a Home Kit and want an extra unit to take on the go. It comes in a yellow, pink, or blue zip-up bag—perfect for keeping in your car, luggage, or diaper bag.
Where should I keep the Home Kit?
Since food accounts for over 50% of all choking emergencies, we recommend storing your Home Kit somewhere near where people eat. Most people choose to keep it in their kitchen, inside an easily accessible cabinet.
